Family-Centered Childbirth
When you deliver a baby at St. Luke's Hospital, you are assured of personal attention and excellent care. We work with you to provide you with the experience you desire.

- Comfortable labor/delivery/recovery birthing suites

- Breastfeeding assistance is available in the hospital or after you go home

- Culturally and ethnically diverse staff available to provide culturally sensitive care
Nursery
- 24-hour in-hospital pediatrician for newborn exams and infants
- 24-Hour Newborn Nursery offering respite for "Rooming In" moms
- 24-hour Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with neonatologist for high-risk infants (level II)
- Great care for premature and ill newborns
- Developmentally oriented Nursery with Kangarooing and co-bedding (for multiples)
Additional Services & Classes
- 24-hour rooming in available. You choose whether you want your new baby to stay with you or to stay in the nursery
- Volunteer Infant Cuddling Program
- Newborn Hearing Screening/Audiology Services
- Mothers who have been discharged and have infants in the NICU are offered a room to stay in near their baby, when space permits. This service is offered free of charge to our parents
- Maternity Education Program that includes: Childbirth Preparation, Breastfeeding Education and Infant/Child CPR (offered in English & Spanish)
